M&A News: Indochine Engineering and Tokyu Construction Corporation

Grant Thornton Vietnam is pleased to announce that we have successfully supported our client – Indochine Engineering - to complete a full sale of its business to Tokyu Construction Corporation (TYO 1720:JP), in the role of a lead advisor.

Indochine Engineering, over the last two decades, has established itself as a leading multidisciplined engineering consultancy, servicing Vietnam and SE Asia, with a strong offshoring capability using BIM and remote working capabilities. Since 1999, the company has grown into a regional firm of some 85 professionals operating across Vietnam, SE Asia, Australia, UK and the US, and a reputation to compete with tier 1 consultancy firms.

Tokyu Construction Corporation is a major corporation with construction business both in Japan and overseas. With the acquisition of Indochine Engineering, Tokyu Construction Corporation shall continue to strengthen in the field of BIM technology which will be a platform for digital formation (DX) in the construction industry, and shall correspond to the transformation of construction production systems and respond to the diverse needs of customers. The acquisition is also expected to help Indochine Engineering to make the most of their Vietnam and Asian markets and strengthen their offshoring BIM capability.

We believe that this M&A transaction is a strategic move for both Indochine Engineering and Tokyu Construction Corporation to achieve their future growth.
