In brief of July 2026 momentum
- In July, Vietnam’s M&A market recorded 31 transactions, with the total value of disclosed or estimated transactions reaching approximately USD 228 million.
- Real Estate, Logistics & Infrastructure, and Utilities led deal activity, with 12 transactions collectively accounting for approximately 39% of total deals in the month.
- In terms of transaction value, the market was mainly driven by deals in Logistics & Infrastructure, Real Estate, and Mining, with a combined value of approximately USD 134.5 million, contributing 59% of total transaction value for the month.
M&A market overview
In July 2026, Vietnam’s M&A market recorded a total of 31 announced transactions. Among these, 22 deals had disclosed or estimable transaction values, with the total size reaching approximately USD 228 million.
By transaction volume, Logistics & Infrastructure recorded the highest number of deals with 5 transactions, equivalent to approximately 16% of total announced transactions. Real Estate followed with 4 deals, contributing 13% of transactions recorded during the month. Utilities, Financials, Technology, and Consumer also maintained a notable presence, with 2-3 transactions in each sector.
In terms of transaction value, the market was led by Real Estate, Logistics & Infrastructure, and Metals & Mining, with a combined value of approximately USD 134.5 million, accounting for approximately 59% of total transaction value for the month. Notably, most large-scale deals during the month were undertaken by domestic investors, primarily targeting companies with strategic real estate, infrastructure and natural resource assets. Meanwhile, foreign investors continued to maintain their presence through strategic investments in sectors such as Technology and Energy.

M&A transaction highlights
Real Estate
- Long Thanh Riverside Investment Co., Ltd. acquired 93.40% stake in Amata Township Long Thanh JSC from Amata VN Public Company Limited and its parent company Amata Corporation Public Co., Ltd. for VND 492.24 billion, equivalent to approximately USD 18.7 million. Amata Township Long Thanh is the developer of the 753-hectare Amata Township Long Thanh urban area project in Dong Nai. The project is planned as an integrated urban area along the Dong Nai River, including residential areas, a commercial center, and commercial and service complexes.
Logistics & Infrastructure
- Grab officially announced a strategic investment in EBOOST, a provider of smart charging solutions for electric vehicles. The investment aims to support EBOOST in expanding its nationwide charging station network, while strengthening cooperation between the two parties in promoting electric mobility in Vietnam. The deal follows the Memorandum of Understanding signed in November 2025. EBOOST currently operates more than 2,000 charging points nationwide.
- Kamigumi Co., Ltd. acquired 50% stake in CLK Cold Storage Co., Ltd. from Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha. Established in 2015, CLK operates in cold storage and logistics, with a facility in Ho Chi Minh City covering approximately 10,135 sqm of floor area and a capacity of approximately 20,897 tons under JRt standards. The transaction value was not disclosed.
Metals & Mining
- Thu Do Mining and Metal Processing JSC completed the acquisition of a 46.85% charter capital stake in Viet Trung Mineral and Metallurgy Co., Ltd. (VTM) from Vietnam Steel Corporation (VNSteel, UPCoM: TVN) for more than VND 1,048 billion, equivalent to approximately USD 40.3 million. Following the transaction, the company holds 99.85% of VTM’s charter capital. VTM is a mining and mineral processing company licensed to exploit the Quy Xa iron mine in Lao Cai, with exploitable reserves of more than 73.2 million tons and an annual mining capacity of approximately 5 million tons.
Financials
- M-DAQ Global, a Singapore-based fintech group, signed an agreement to acquire METech, a major shareholder of PayME, a licensed payment service provider in Vietnam. The transaction value was not disclosed. The deal marks an important step in M-DAQ’s strategy to build a unified ASEAN payment platform, offering integrated collection, foreign exchange conversion, and payout services across the region. Through the transaction, M-DAQ gains licensed payment infrastructure in Vietnam, enabling it to directly process domestic collections and payments in VND, reduce dependence on third-party partners, and enhance control over key cross-border payment routes.
F&B
- Every Half Coffee Roasters successfully raised USD 8 million in a funding round with participation from existing investors including DSG Consumer Partners and Openspace Capital through the issuance of convertible preferred shares. The proceeds will be used to expand its store network, develop its consumer packaged goods (CPG) business, strengthen supply chain capabilities, and support plans to bring Vietnamese specialty coffee to international markets.
Energy
- Sharp Energy Solutions Corporation completed the acquisition of 40% stake in Sharp NSN Energy Solutions Co., Ltd. (Sharp Energy Solution Vietnam Company Limited - SESV) from NSN Construction and Engineering JSC, thereby becoming the sole owner of the Vietnamese company. SESV mainly provides EPC and operation and maintenance services for solar power projects in Vietnam. Full ownership will enable to streamline decision-making and strengthen its management in Vietnam, supporting its plans to expand rooftop solar solutions for factories and commercial facilities and develop solar projects integrated with battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Other notable updates
- DatVietVAC officially published its IPO prospectus, planning to offer 11.15 million shares at VND 54,800 per share and seeking a listing on HOSE, corresponding to a market capitalization of approximately VND 6,106 billion (USD 240 million). The proceeds will be used to restructure finances, reduce borrowings, and increase capital for subsidiaries in the media and entertainment sector to enhance content production capabilities.
- EQuest Education Group and Phu My Hung Development Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement to develop a K-12 education complex in Hong Hac City urban area, Bac Ninh, with total investment of approximately USD 40 million. The project will be developed on a land area of more than 22,000 sqm, including a preschool and an integrated school from primary to upper secondary level, with a capacity of approximately 2,500 students upon completion.
